Billie Payton-Settles,  writer, editor, and teacher, has spent much of her life in California. She currently resides in Sonoma County and has used her knowledge of the North Bay Area to bring her mysteries to life in a unique way.

Accidental Target, the first of a two-book thriller series set in San Rafael, California, will be published by Level Best Books in February, 2021. Payton-Settles has begun writing the sequel--untitled so far. This series, with its' blend of local descriptions, tense mystery, and humor, will be appreciated by Payton-Settles' readers.
